Remade Painting
I chose to remake Monet's "Weeping Willow" because of his use of lively colors and hopeful energy during a time of mourning in WW2. He painted this piece as an impressionistic portrait of himself growing old like a willow tree.

I see his piece as a balance of the light and dark within ourselves and his use of his vibrant colors and brushwork as a depiction of his emotions. I chose to add a swing similarly to the one I had as a child under my willow tree.
